Publishing on their Facebook page on Friday, Worthing Pride organizers said it had witnessed a decrease in companies applying to participate and there are no sponsors yet.
They said: “Last year we had more than 35 local companies and 500 people involved in the show.
“This year we had six companies that offer an application so far.
“We don’t also have a sponsor of this year. It is a real difficult time for all pride [events]”
The event is held on July 4 and 5 in Steyne Gardens.
The festival’s main headlines include Joe Omera from S and Natasha Hamilton from Atomic Kitten Fame.

The organizers have called on the companies to sponsor the offer and for people to register to participate.
They said: “The offer costs more than 6000 pounds annually for operation, insurance costs, road closure, health and safety fees, and council fees, and this is not something we can continue to finance without support.
“We do not receive any support from the council or charities to finance the event. The offer cannot be free due to these costs to keep everyone safe.
“We reduced the cost of entering the offer to 10 pounds per person, which includes a free ticket in the main park on Saturday.
“We are looking for a sponsor to support us like previous years: Nandos, Pasante Healthcare, Goring Hall, HSBC all have acquired the sponsorship of the show, but this year we did not achieve!
“Without interests from the participants to participate and sponsor, we will unfortunately cancel the aspect of pride for this year.”
The first Worthing Pride event occurred in 2018. In 2021, the event was postponed until September due to Covid 19.
Companies or individuals who can support the offer financially have been encouraged to send an email to sales@worthingpride.com
