Today, Deputy Foreign Minister Christopher Landau welcomed the first group of African refugees to the United States.
This tremendous achievement, in the direction of Minister Rubio, responds to President Trump’s call to give priority to refugees in this weak group facing non -fair racial discrimination in South Africa.
Today, the United States is sending a clear message, in line with the first foreign policy agenda in the administration, that America will take measures to protect victims of racial discrimination. We stand with these refugees and they build a better future for themselves and their children in the United States.
No one should be afraid to seize their property without compensation or become a victim of violent attacks because of their race. In the coming months, we will continue to welcome more African refugees and help them rebuild their lives in our great country.
