British leader encouraged his global counterparts to continue to pressure the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine at the beginning of a virtual meeting on Saturday aimed at ending the fighting between the two countries.

British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer told a virtual meeting of European leaders, most of them “sooner or later”, Russia must participate in talks about reaching a three -year conflict ceasefire.

He addressed the group, described as a “accounting alliance”, most of which are European leaders, as well as from Australia, New Zealand and Canada, but not the United States.

“Urgent or later, he will have to come to the table,” said Starmer of Russian President Vladimir Putin, whose country was invaded by Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump urged Moscow to accept the ceasefire deal, which was approved by our delegations and Ukrainian states in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said “the ball in the Russian Court.”

Putin said that he is theoretical ceasefire, but Russia still has certain conditions and questions that must be addressed before accepting any agreement.

In the night video, Ukrainian President Folodimir Zelinski suggested that Putin was stopping and demanding many pre -conditions “so that nothing will succeed at all.”

Meanwhile, the United States has expanded sanctions on Russian oil and gas as well as its financial sectors.

A discussion of Saturday between world leaders can address the future military and financial support for Ukraine and Zelinski security concerns if a peace agreement is reached. Zelenskyy attended the online video session on Saturday.
