Trump cut money to the San Francisco International Arts Festival

[ad_1]

(KON) – The San Francisco International Arts Festival is among the organizations affected by many discounts in the Trump administration to national arts grants.

The festival initially received $ 20,000 from federal financing. However, on May 2, the Trump administration informed the festival simultaneously, and hundreds of other organizations, that its financing had been completed.

On Thursday, a federal judge denied a proposal to stop the national endowment of the arts from preventing money for artists whose gender ideological projects are strengthened. The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit against NEA on behalf of the art groups, saying that Nea still has standards, which reject financing for projects that seem to enhance this concept.

Lindsey Ford from Kron4 spoke to a co -artist he says he is stunned by the Trump administration’s actions. See the full report in the above video.

The San Francisco International Arts Festival started 2025 on April 30 and ends on May 11.
