Officials reported that the US Airways engine caught fire after landing at Denver International Airport on Thursday evening.
The US Airways flight was 1006 traveling from Colorado Springs to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport when it was transferred to Denver, according to the airline.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that The Boeing 737-800 landed safely at around 5:15 pm local time after the crew discovered the vibrations of the engine. When a plane tax is imposed on the gate, ignited the engine, which prompted the evacuation via emergency slices.

US Airways described the incident as a “engine -related case”, but it has not provided more details. The trip carried 172 passengers and six crew members.
The Denver Fire Department confirmed that twelve individuals were slightly injured and were transferred to hospitals. The joint videos on social media depict a thick smoke surrounding the plane at the gate while the passengers evacuate the wing. Another crew members appear on the ground trying to overcome the fire.
“We appreciate the rapid and decisive response to our crew members, the Den team, and the first respondents, which gives priority to everyone’s safety on the plane,” US Airways said in a statement.
FAA launched an investigation into the accident.
