Ricky Hiwood was only 36 years old when he was fired five times in his apartment over the atmosphere on the Shirley Road on Monday, October 16, 1989.
In contracts that followed, the Ricky family spent contracts to search for answers-not to be charged with anyone regarding the dead shirley.
Ricky’s mother, Felis, offered a reward of 50,000 pounds in October 1999 – she has died since then and did not know what happened to her son.
Despite the prolonged and complex investigation at the time, no one was charged with killing him.
“I have been severely affected by the response we received from the public since we were re -used to obtain information regarding this case in October,” said senior investigation officials Elizabeth Brant, who is leading the investigation.
“We have given us the information that people provided us with new lines of inquiry that we continue to consider.
“Those we talked to throughout our investigation were very useful, yet we still need more people to progress and break their silence. The Ricky family still needs answers and we will not stop working to secure justice for them.
“I still think someone knows why Ricky was killed and who was responsible. Whatever your loyalty, you do the right thing by telling us what you know.”

Police said that more than 80 people had spoken to the new investigation lines.
“We are extending our £ 20,000 bonus to get information that leads to the conviction of the person or the responsible people. You can tell us what you know and be confident that no one will discover that you spoke – will remain 100 % unknown at all times.
“We cannot follow your call and we will never ask your name. You will not have to speak to the police, a witness statement, or go to court.”
