The passengers warned of a “mistake” on the train line in the north

Scotterl announced that she was familiar with reports of a signal error at the MotherWell train station at about 7.40 am on Monday.

The issue is said to affect the services that are heading towards Hamilton Central.

Engineers are on their way to fix the error.

During this time, services from Motherweell to Dalmuir via Hamilton Central will operate without stopping from Motherwell to Rutherglen.

“We had reports of a MotherWell signal that affects the services towards Hamilton Central,” said a Scotrail spokesman.

“Network Rail on the way to fix this problem. Services from Motherweell to Dalmuir will be done via Hamilton Central running non -stop from Motherweell to Rutherglen.”
