The Governor Abbott announces special elections for the Sylvester Turner

ASAN – KXAN has now been appointed to fill the seat after the death of the late Congress Sylvester Turner last month, and the governor of state Greg Abbott announced that he will be held on November 4.

Abbott missed the deadline of the state to host the special elections during the May 3 elections.

This comes after the leader of the minority in the US House of Representatives, Hakim Jeffrez, de-York, for reporters during a press conference last week that Democrats in the House of Representatives are likely to receive Abbott because of the lack of special elections for the House 18 region.

On Monday, the governor of the state, Greg Abbott, said that the seat left by the death of Congress Silvertter Turner last month will not be occupied for most of this year.

In an exclusive interview with KXan last week, Abbott was asked about the vacant seat in Congress, and we told us, “Harris County is a failure of repetition, as it comes to elections.

Abbott KXAN wanted to make sure that Harris County has “the opportunity to get this right, contrary to what they did in the past.”

Early voting is expected to start in October.
