A store assistant who was working on the street during the accident told Canada’s Globe and Mail The car was accused on the street, where people scream and run to help, while others stood in shock.
“We see him walking at the utmost speed through a group of people. I saw a group of people rising from the impact of hitting the car,” said Nick Magnjes.

“I couldn’t see the driver, all I heard was a driver,” said Yose Varde’s food truck owner in an interview with Postmedia.

CTV News said another candidate, the leader of the new Democratic Party, Jagmeet Singh, was among those present at this event but left before the car arrived. This was the second time that the festival was held.
“This is very shocking, I don’t even know what to say,” CTV Singh quoted her saying. “I was only there, and I imagined the faces of the children that I saw smiling and dance.”
