A body was found during the feverish search for a missing man who disappeared from the town of Scottish last week.
Tom Kane, 56, was seen last time in the Eldon Street area in Greenock at about 7:30 am on Thursday, April 24.

The officers believe that he might have traveled to the Fort William area in the Volvo V60 Silver V60.
Unfortunately, a corpse was found in the Atholl Road area in Pitlochry, Pearthrery, yesterday afternoon at approximately 1:10 pm.
The official identity has not been implemented, but the thom family was informed.
Police officers said it was not believed that there are any suspicious circumstances.
A report will be sent to the financial prosecutor.
A police spokesman in Scotland said:
“The official identity is still determined but the thom kane family, which was reported from Greenock, has been informed.
“It is not believed that there are any suspicious conditions and a report will be sent to the financial prosecutors.”
