A corpse was found in the search for 11 -year -old Calais Kawa, who entered the Times River in North Walwich on March 31, Metropolitan police said.
The force added that the body was not officially identified, but the Calais family was informed and supported by specialized officers.
Met said it was an alert to a body in the river in the naval sidewalk near the dog island in East London, at about 09:00 GMT on Sunday.
Calais, who was playing during the day of the school, disappeared after going to water near the Paraguayhaus Bridge on March 31.
