Several people were arrested after the Leinster House entrance was closed in Dublin on Monday morning.

A number of demonstrators were removed from the group of mothers against the genocide by force from the doors of the Linders house on Monday morning, after they organized a camp overnight.

The group had held a protest on Mother’s Day on Sunday evening, on the memory of children and mothers who were killed in Gaza

The group organized a camp later overnight “to invite the Irish government to work on the genocide that was permanent in the occupied Palestinian territories” and was scheduled to submit a message on Monday morning demanding action, including the enactment of the draft law of the occupied territories.

Videos on social media show many members sitting and prevent the Leinster House entrance on Kildare Street on Monday morning amid the heavy presence of Garda before the Gardaí later started removing the demonstrators by force.

Tense exchanges can be considered as many demonstrators have been held.

A spokesman for Garda said that a number of individuals continued to prevent the entrance on Monday morning, and after the participation, a trend was submitted under the public order law.

He said: “Because this trend was not complied with a period of time, a number of individuals have been arrested due to crimes contrary to the Criminal Justice Law (public order) for the year 1994 and they are currently being held at the Garda stations in the Dublin Metropolitan region.”

The spokesman said: “Any response from Garda regarding advanced events is in line with the community police model and the police response comes out, taking into account related legislation and public safety,” the spokesman said.

Before the protest, group member Megan Ni Gabayen said that mothers against genocide are “uncompromising” in 18 -month campaigns and “calling on our government to take meaningful measures, and we have been ignored.”

She said: “So on Mother’s Day, we have no choice but to camp all night in the hope that our government leaders will understand our despair and finally to take measures. We will never stop fighting for justice for innocent children who have been subjected to their future at the hands of the genocide of Israel.”
