Pregnant women were evacuated from the Motherhood Hospital after a large fire broke out.
Black Smoke was seen at St. Michael Hospital on Southuel Street, in Bristol shortly before 16:30. Fire firefighters come from Avon Fire and Rescue Service and say the fire has now been extinguished.
Pregnant women and infants were transferred outside the building, with the support of midwives that brought milk and fruits.
Jess Hatshenson, 22, whose waters were broken, said he was “frightening” hearing the surface, as a number of solar panels were destroyed by fire.
The public was asked to avoid the area wherever it is possible.

Matthew Borden, from Weston Super-Kamar, was inside the unity of motherhood with his wife when the fire broke out.
He said that she was in labor with her third child and was “truly careful to return to her.”
“I went out to get some food, I promised and it is clear that the alarm was launched,” he said.
They said that all partners should leave. Everyone was getting out of the fire very quickly.
“When we went out, I saw black smoke, all in the fire.”
He said he spoke to his partner on the phone and said it was safe inside.
Some women were transferred to the Bristol University Life Sciences Building.

Professor Stewart Walker, Managing Director of Hospitals at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston, thanked Herfim, their “amazing employees” who worked closely with the firefighting service to partially evacuate the hospital.
He added: “The hospital, including the delivery suite, has been reopened for women who need to reach our services and people who have dates tomorrow, they should bring us as planned.”

“We can confirm that the fire has been safely extinguished,” said a firefighter spokesman.
“The cause of the fire will be investigated.”
Avon and Sumer Police said they support the firefighting service at the scene.
In a statement issued by X, the force said: “Saint Michael Hill was closed in front of vehicles and pedestrians and people are urged to avoid the area if possible.”
