On Sunday, Senator Chris Van Holin avoided questions about whether Kilmar Abrago Garcia was a MS-13 gang as the Trump administration claimed.
VAN Hollen (D-MD), who met with Abugo Garcia in El Salvador on Thursday, accused President Trump of trying to change the issue in legal procedures concerns, while he himself tried to change the discussion from the MS-13.
“What Donald Trump is trying to do here is changing the issue,” Van Holin told “The Federation of the Union” of CNN. “The issue is that he and his administration challenges the court’s order to give Abrago Garcia his rights to legal procedures.”
“They are trying to litigate on social media with what they should do in the courts.”
Abu Garcia, who entered the United States illegally in 2011, was deported last month to his country of origin to El Salvador last month although the 2019 court order prevents his deportation there due to fears of gang violence.
Van Holin had previously accused the Trump administration of lying about the alleged Abu Garcia relations with MS-13.
the Trump administration claims It was discovered that Abyerigo Garcia had “wins of money and drugs” when he was arrested and that he was “arrested with other two MS-13” members.
