Selby’s sign failure causes delay and cancellation

[ad_1]

The railway travel was affected inside and outside the Selby station today (April 3) after the points failed in the SELBY area.

“The error in the SELBY signal system means that some lines are currently closed. As a result, trains may be canceled, or delayed for up to 30 minutes or a review,” said a spokesman for Network Rail at 5.05 pm.

It is expected to be interrupted until 6.45 pm.

The affected methods as follows:

  • Hull trains between Hull and London Kings Cross
  • The north between Bridington and York, between Hull and Halifax / Sheffield, also between Scarboro and Chevild
  • Transpertinine Express Services between Hull Street and Liverpool Lime Street

Any restrictions on the tickets were raised during this disorder and the northern tickets will be accepted, without any additional cost, on Transpert Express Services via any reasonable path.

An update on Northern, which was published at 5.45 pm, indicates that the error has now been repaired and the line has been reopened, but there is still delay.
