The Queer Library in Brisbane, Australia hosted a time event in the cloud story before closing its doors for the last time.

WooOOWIN, shelf lovers, came out with a fuss at the weekend as they hosted a final event before the work was closed. The shelf fans recruited the Queen of Gold Coast Cadi Devi, who headed the place to present the final reading event for the spectators.

Celebrating the end of the work, Kat Northin, the owner of the shelf lovers, took to Instagram and wrote: “What a weekend! There was laughter, tears, and of course a lot and books.

“Thank you very much to everyone who participated in the last weekend with us.”

Cat announced the closure of the works in March, where she wrote: “With great sadness, we announce that the shelf lovers will close when the current lease contract expires at the end of April.

“We cannot express how difficult it is to reach this decision,” Kat added.

She said: “When making a decision on adhering to a new rental contract, we had to think about our financial situation for our family, as well as my health and wellness.”

Although the store closed permanently, Kat made it clear that she hoped to continue to work “in some way.”

“We are currently checking the options to continue working in a form, although we do not have any specific answers yet in the form. We will keep you aware,” Kat wrote.

The former library secretary opened a library in July 2023 after her younger son came out in 2020. ABCQueer In 2024.

“I also tried to find books that had a trance and homosexuals for reading so that he could see himself as an actress. We can find books online, but it was difficult to find books in a paper version, especially in the main stores here in Brisbane.

“I thought it would be great to have a place here in Brisbane where people could find LGBTQIA+ books that are difficult to obtain, someone can tell them the resources that were legitimate and combined, as well as a safe and wicked space for those who had no other places to go to, communicate with society and find their employees.”
