Babies and bars, which are usually at 11 pm, will continue to work for two additional hours on Thursday, May 8 to celebrate.
Prime Minister Sir Kerr Starmer said: “While we celebrate the eighty anniversary of the day, the entire country must meet to remember the amazing sacrifices made by the generation of war and celebration of the peace and freedom they all obtained.
“Preserving our bars is open for a longer period, it will allow people the opportunity to join the celebrations and raise a cup for all men and women who served their country, abroad and at home.”
The pubic hours of the bar were relaxed for “exceptional national importance”, such as the final and major celebrations in Euro 2024.
Four days of celebrations were organized by the government for the anniversary of this year, which will continue from Monday from Monday to Thursday, May 8.
