Brick, New Jersey (CBS) – Two people were arrested in Ocean Province due to the cruelty of animals and exposing children to Friday night. The officers responded to a house in Ocean Province after an unknown complaint about a possible puppy factory.

When the officers arrived, they saved nearly 200 animals, but for at least two dogs, the help was too late.

The police in Brick, New Jersey at a house in Arrowhead Park Drive on Friday at 7:30 pm where the residents met them, and Amy Lonczak, 49, and 58 -year -old Michel Nick.

During the initial interview, officers can smell a strong animal smell coming from the house. They were allowed to enter the house, where they met an abundance of neglected animals.

Inside, there were dogs and cats in the boxes stacked on top of each other.

The police called for help from the Hazmat team, where the house was covered with stools. This is also when they found two dead dogs inside the house.

It took about 10 hours of rescuers to remove all the animals that were sent to a number of shelters of the area.

The veterinarian also sent the respondents at least eight animals for veterinary care in emergency situations.

More investigations also revealed that a 16 -year -old teenager, the daughter of Lonczak, was living at home. Lonczak and NYCZ were arrested due to the cruelty of animals and exposing children to danger.

The investigation is continuing and additional fees may be offered.
