Foreign Minister Marco Rubio met with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohamed bin Abdul Rahman during his visit to Washington, Rubio Secretary and Prime Minister, and discussed the important strategic partnership between the United States and Qatar, including close security and economic cooperation and its participation in addressing regional challenges in Gas, Lebanne, and Summer Summer.
Secretary Rubio also expressed his gratitude for Qatar’s efforts to secure the launch of American citizens from Afghanistan. The Secretary and the Prime Minister repeated support for both countries for more security and stability in the Middle East and stressed the importance of increasing cooperation on bilateral and regional issues.
