The number of Americans visiting the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia may remain the same, but it seems that the reasons for making the trip are shifting.
Some of the provinces, such as Tattingstone Inn, says in Wolfville, NS, that their American customers are eager to know what Canadian life offers.
“Since January, February, people who have registered arrival, when we are talking to them, are looking for residency,” said Erika Panting, the owner of Tattingstone and President of Nova Scotia.

“So they make interviews. One guest in particular, she is a nurse and looks forward to moving to Canada.”
Panting says that their visitors are interested in the direction that President Donald Trump is heading to President Donald Trump.
She said: “A number of them, they do not feel safe depending on this field, especially health care with women’s health in danger, as well as their rights.”
“They are threatened, and their families are threatened, so they want to move to a place where they feel safe.”
Allen Chis, a local real estate broker, says that moving to the valley has become an attractive choice. According to his colleague, the broker Jeff Petrigu, sales increased by 26 percent, some of which could be attributed to the American interest.
“During the summer months, they inevitably stopped and started asking some questions, especially last summer before the US elections when there was little uncertainty about what they were expecting,” said Betigero.
