King Charles and Queen Camilla met Pope Francis on Wednesday afternoon to attend a special meeting in the Vatican 20 minutes.
The Pope was suffering from health aid and the king and the queen had to postpone a planned visit to the Vatican – but it seemed that the ink was recovering, and appeared in public places on the weekend in St. Peter’s Square.
Buckingham Palace says that the king and the queen, on the third day of their visit to the state to Italy, “were happy that the Pope was good enough to host them – and they have the opportunity to share their best wishes in a person.”
It is understood that the meeting was confirmed only earlier today, while paying the constant medical attention to Pope Francis.
A picture of the meeting is scheduled to be issued on Thursday morning.
Earlier in the day, King Charles warned of the need for democracies such as the United Kingdom and Italy against standing together at such troubled international times, as he became the first king in the UK to address the Hollysmatics of the Italian Parliament.
The king received a long applause from parliamentarians in Rome.
The visit also coincided with the anniversary of the marriage of the king and the twentieth queen.
Queen Camilla, who attended Parliament with the king, was wearing the dress she wore at her civil wedding in 2005.
The ivory silky dress designed by Anna Valentin was “re -used” for wearing it again for the day of the anniversary and the visit of the Italian parliament.
The king’s speech in front of legislators in Italy, in their decorated room in Palazzo Montecitorio, was an invitation to a crowd to defend common values and the need to strengthen the military partnership between the United Kingdom and Italy.
He said: “We are both European countries.”
He welcomed that the United Kingdom and Italy “stood beside Ukraine at the hour of its need,” but warned that the pictures of wars are now hesitating throughout the continent.
The king said: “Our younger generations can see in the news every day on their smartphones and tablets that peace should never be considered as a foregone.”
“These threats mean that it is important that” Britain and Italy today have united in defense of the democratic values that we share. “

He delivered some speech in the Italian language, and talked about the long history between the United Kingdom and Italy and the common culture, and the return to the old Romans who reached the British “Wind Beaches”.
Part of the return that is returned was musicians like Ed Sheeran, who plays in Italy.
The King told Parliament that he wanted to strengthen ties to Italy, a “country dear to my heart”.
As president of the Commonwealth, he also talked about the role of Canadian forces in helping to liberate Italy in World War II.
The speech fell well with the collected parliamentarians – with applause for a long time at some point, an Italian official began to talk about his thanks, assuming that the king had ended.
Today, the King began meeting with Prime Minister Italy, Georgia Miloni, where he obtained the festive red carpet in a periodic villa, Bamfili, on the outskirts of Rome.
King and Meloni seemed to have a moving conversation, as the politician was fluently English speaking, while they were walking around the pharaohs of the seventeenth century.

A military division lined up on horseback in front of the palace to salute the king, against the backdrop of orange trees and scenery over St. Peter and the Vatican.
The royal couple will spend their marriage at a government banquet at the Koirinali Palace, an event that is likely to be a display of local food and films of celebrities and personalities.
The king and the queen were granted a warm reception on their trip to Italy, where the photos were taken on Tuesday, where they met with crowds outside the coloss, near the old site of the Venus Temple.
There were calls from “Carlo” – Italian for Charles – from the crowds awaiting the vision of royal visitors and local media, also seemed interested in their car, Clarit Bentley.
Returning home at Buckingham Palace, there was a musical greeting to Mark the memory of the marriage of the royal couple.
The official X account of the royal family posted a video clip showing the guards playing a copper version of the 1981 Madness’s version that should be love.
