Israel announced a great expansion in the military operations in Gaza on Wednesday, saying that large areas of the pocket will be seized and added to its security areas, accompanied by a large scale of the population.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the forces were seizing an area called the Morge axis, in reference to a previous Israeli settlement between the cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, about 3-4 km from the southern border.
