It is said that the extension of the southern coast in Türkiye is one of the most Instagrams in the country, thanks to the amazing turquoise water and picturesque landscape.

In the town of Oladiniz on the holidays in Fiethy, it is the “blue lake” is home to a great sermon located on a wonderful environment of dramatic rocks and Verdantwoodland.

Until the early eighties, he was considered a hidden jewel (Adel).

There is no doubt that it is beautiful. The problem is, everyone He knows it.

When I visited Fethiye in April, like anyone else, I wandered into the lake to find out what is the uproar around.

After she paid 100 pounds (about 2 pounds) to enter, she followed a short path that ended in a beautiful place – crowded with tourists. The sand was shattered with the sun and families, all of this with the same idea. This was before the holiday season.

Of course, I fought in the water (a note for visitors: take stirring or water shoes, it is rock) and got my mandatory image. But there was no way to do this without picking up loading bodies in the background.

On the Internet, this place is filmed as a virgin paradise, but it is definitely not the deserted scene that we see on social media.

It is time to get out there, in search of a truly unveiled jewel. This is all you found, and everywhere worth your time, along the wonderful turquoise Türkiye coast.

Look for

Do not care about the place of the influencer’s movie – I realized that the amazing scene was staring at me at the face all the time.

Although there is no doubt that the blue lake is great, Fethiye is also home to the Taurus Mountains, which forms an amazing wallpaper as much as the eye can see.

No number of photos can capture Majesty, and this may be why they did not reach Tiktok. You really have to see it to soak everything in it.

Covered with red trees and rice, a mountain in the area is Babada, also known as the mountain father.

Its height is about 2000 meters, and you can actually get close to the top via Cable Car.

It takes about 15 minutes and there are two stations: one 1200 meters and another at a height of 1700 meters, where you will also find Babadag 1700 Grill & Bar, which provides great views of the Fethiye coast while eating.

I had no time to check it, but it gets good reviews on Tripadvisor. Babadag Sunset dinner costs about 25 pounds for adults and 13 pounds for children under the age of 12.

Retreat

In the Fethiye area, you will also find Kayaköy, which is “Ghost City” where it includes hundreds of abandoned stone buildings.

Once the Greek Orthodox Christians were home, the city was abandoned after the population exchanged in 1923 between Greece and Turkey. Today, homes and churches are gone for visitors to the past.

The area is still home to less than 1000 people, and I discovered a small, friendly restaurant named Kahvaltıcı Mahmoud who offers delicious Turkish breakfast.

Forget your full English, this was a dangerous fragile, with a plate after declines – it was my favorite Tahini with grape molasses.

We are speaking a variety of cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables, along with style, boric (filo pastries with delicious filling), meat with mushrooms, and Lokma (such as cakes and great popularity with my teenagers) as well as unlimited hot flat bread and Turkish tea. It costs 750 pounds per person (about 14 pounds), but children under the age of 7 eat for free.

Later, I wandered around the dusty streets and discovered the Kuyubaşı cafe covered with trees, which I was told was a famous local hunt that does a good cup of authentic Turkish coffee.

Served in a small cup, the ground coffee beans are slowly boiled in a bowl called CEZVE, even liquid foams.

I also offered you water, which you learned soon is the primary palate cleaner because the coffee is very strong. While it was too much for me – gave me a milky Lati on any day – my husband was a drug addict immediately.

See the sea elsewhere

Because the free and the Mediterranean Sea in the region, the blue lake is not the only place that carries the scene of dropping the jaw. Just a few kilometers away, in fact, is Kidak Beach.

It is another one you have to pay to enter, but it has a far -reaching feeling because it does not contain crowded beach bars or family facilities.

Certainly one if you are looking for a basic but nude beach haven.

Instead, if you are very striving for Insta shot, board a water taxi from çalış beach to şövaly Island, another beach cooled with the sea swing in the water.

Eating local and exploring the old city

In most days, we took a taxi to explore the city of Fethiye, which took about 15 minutes and cost 7 pounds.

The city is a famous port for cruises-the most visited on the turquoise coast-where the port lined up with boats, some luxurious, others are cheap, cheerful and ready to take vacationers on daily trips.

In the old city there are rows of covered corridors, where local stores sit next to stores that sell closed football shirts and designer tools. If you like a good browsing, you can spend hours in the tissue on the streets.

For those who prefer to get rid of time to eat and drink, there are a lot of bars and restaurants with views of the waterfront. However, the owner of the villa told me, there was one area king To go to food – he did not disappoint.

In the fish market, you can choose what you want and cook in front of you by one of the restaurants that surround him. Amazing options – crabs, shrimp, octopus, Moncavish, BREAM … The list is countless and changes day after day, depending on what was arrested.

Everything is fresh on the piles of the ice and the atmosphere is vibrant, as representatives from each restaurant raise the joke to feel your tables.

Armed with a local advice, we spent a great time and did not end up spending a wealth.

I got the advice that the price quoted on the meter is only for seafood you get, and the cooking is costly and then also paid for the sides. Another indicator is not to buy a bottle of wine because it is expensive-go to the glass because the meals are generous, but it is more suitable for the wallet.

The next day, we also went to the GoCek dining festival, a city about an hour away.

There, we tried the famous local dishes for a few hours, only a traditional Turkish dance routine.

The one that remained with me was Ashure, a pudding resembling the sweet soup with fruits, nuts, seeds, chickpeas, Turkish stuffed meat balls, icli kofte.

Of course, we have finished everything with Baklava, Filo pastries with nuts and leather from honey. I have sweet teeth, and I have never tasted anything sugar in my life.

Where do you stay?

Villa Murat was the perfect place to relax when we were not outside and about (photo: Oliver Trips)

Our home for this week was a villa on the outskirts of Fiethy. It was a luxurious four -bedroom house that comes with a swimming pool and a cold water jacuzzi, and it was just five minutes on foot from the nearest supermarket and restaurants, just 10 minutes from the crowded part of the city, which lined up with it with the local store bars and restaurants.

It was the perfect site and a great place to relax when you want one day to see the tourist attractions. In addition, if you have brutal children in the water, this is literally two minutes away from the Orca World Water Park. Unfortunately, we visited before its opening on May 1, but according to the reviews, it is definitely worth a visit.
