A statement from his office said on Sunday that former US President Joe Biden had been diagnosed with prostate cancer that spread to his bones.
Biden, 82, was diagnosed on Friday after he saw a doctor last week for urine symptoms.
Cancer is a more aggressive form of the disease, which is characterized by the result of 9 out of 10. This means that his disease is classified as “high -quality” and that cancer cells can spread quickly, according to cancer research in the UK.
Biden and his family are said to review treatment options. The former president’s office added that cancer is sensitive to hormones, which means that it is likely to be managed.
After the news broke out about his diagnosis, the former president received support from both sides of the corridor.
President Donald Trump wrote on the real social media platform that he and the first lady Melania Trump “are sad to hear about the recent medical diagnosis of Jo Biden.”
He said, referring to the former first lady, Jill Biden, “We are extending the warmest and best wishes of the generation and the family,” referring to the former first lady, Jill Biden. “We hope an atmosphere is a rapid and successful recovery.”
Former Vice President Kamala Harris, who served during the Biden era, wrote on X that she and her husband Doug Emahouf keep the Biden family in their prayers.

The news comes nearly a year after forcing the former president to get rid of the 2024 US presidential elections regarding concerns about his health and age. He is the oldest person holding the office in the history of the United States.

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer that affects men, behind skin cancer, according to Cleveland. The American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that 13 out of 100 men will develop prostate cancer at some point in their lives.

Dr. William Dahout, the chief scientific official of the American Cancer Association and the trainer of the trained prostate cancer, told the BBC that cancer is more aggressive in nature, based on the information available to the public about the Biden diagnosis.
“In general, if the cancer has spread to the bones, we do not think it is considered a curable cancer,” said Dr. Dahout.
