Drivers headed north of Prince George should expect detours and delays well into the evening, Drive B.C. says.
A road closure is in place 30 kilometres north of the city along Highway 97 following a vehicle incident near Summit Lake Road.
Though a detour is in place, RCMP say it may not be appropriate for large trucks.
Drive B.C. says it expects the closure to be in place until at least 7 p.m. PT.
Police say the closure follows a collision that happened at approximately 9:30 a.m.
The closure will impact traffic connecting B.C.’s Peace Region, including Dawson Creek, Chetwynd and Mackenzie, to Prince George and points further south.
