Sky News says that Frank Mcafai was arrested regarding the alleged crimes that occurred in Glasgow between 2022 and 2024.
McAVETY as a council leader between 2015 and 2017, a Scottish party politician who was also working as MSP.
It is understood that the charges related to the reported electoral fraud when it ran to obtain a seat in the council in 2022.
A police statement in Scotland said: “A 62 -year -old man was arrested and charged with fraud crimes in the Glasgow region between 2022 and 2024.
“A report will be submitted to the financial prosecutor in a timely manner.”
