Facebook canceled the local news reporter after publishing a story about sexual crimes perpetrators

Facebook has canceled the personal account of the local Al -Akhbar newspaper, which published a link to a story about the perpetrator of sexual crimes on the employer’s page.
A Facebook KMFM owned by Kent Radio It was also temporarily dropped for a “breach of community standards” after publishing the story on Saturday morning, but it was restored in just 20 minutes of a successful attractiveness.
Kate faulkner is a news reader and reporter for KMFM, and part of its function includes publishing links to local stories that have been played on the broadcast news page of the broadcaster (separate from the main KMFM page).
The Volkenner’s personal account was canceled on Saturday and was restored only on Thursday afternoon after the newspaper contacted the compensatory press office.
Before that, although the KMFM page has been banned, Volkner’s private attractiveness was rejected and could not communicate with anyone from Meta itself. The procedure also dropped Instagram and Facebook Messenger accounts.
The case reminds us of the independent local news publisher Leicester Gazette, whose account was disabled last month by Facebook after she told her account, “It does not follow the standards of our society on the safety of the account.” NEWSBRAND was restored with her arrival after Gazette communicated with Meta. Local news and specialized publishers also face problems with Facebook to remove story posts such as RAM.
“It is annoying: one, I am an Australian, I live in the United Kingdom, so I used Facebook a lot to stay in contact with my friends and family,” Volkoner Press told Gazette before her account was recovered.
“But more bothering me more, I think, is that somewhere my name is registered against this for children’s sexual exploitation, and this is the most disturbing to me, and I love it so much so that it’s not so.”
The story was published by Fulkner on the KMFM page from the brother Kent Online, Under the title: “Doer Sex Offner, Matthew Download, imprisonment after fleeing to Surrey to use Dark Web to make inappropriate pictures for children.” The story was based on a press release from Kent Police.
Despite the decrease in the Volkenner account, when I tried to log in to Facebook, he said: “We have reviewed your account and found that we still do not follow our community standards on the sexual exploitation of children. You cannot request another review of this decision.”
“We have found that our review team made a mistake when lowering your content. Thank you for the time to ask for a review and help us improve our systems. Our priority is to maintain the safety of society safely and respectfully, so sometimes we have to take needs,” said the message received by the KMFM official after resuming the official page that was successfully dropped.
Meanwhile, Facebook continues to allow fraud investment pages that use prominent journalists’ identities (such as CNN) to enhance WhatsApp financial advice groups.
