One of the MORLAND fires erupted after 4.15 pm at EGERTON, where eight fire engines were scraped to the scene off the LongWorth Road.
The road is still closed according to traffic alerts.
The villagers were urged to keep their windows closed and stay away from the area.
The Special Hashim Fire Unit was also called for the accident.
The fire broke out while firefighters were dealing with the Morland fire in Chorley.
That fire broke out after 3:30 pm.
