US President Donald Trump said that India has offered the dropping of all definitions on the goods imported from his country.
Trump said at an event in Doha: “The Indian government has made us a deal as they are ready to literally accuse us of any tariff,” Trump said at an event in Doha.
India and the United States are currently in talks to negotiate a trade agreement.
Delhi has not yet commented on the notes. The BBC has reached the Ministry of Commerce in India to comment.
No other details were published about the alleged deal with India.
Trump was speaking in an event with business leaders in Doha, where he announced a series of deals between the United States and Qatar, including Boeing Jets.
According to Bloomberg, the US President also said he told the CEO of Apple Tim Cook not to expand production in India.
“I did not want you to build in India,” Bloomberg quoted Trump as saying. He added that Apple will “increase its production in the United States.”
