Bolton’s man was imprisoned after the wound at HMP Berwyn

The court heard that Cracknell had 15 previous convictions for 22 crimes – and that the most recent crime put it in a suspended penalty for sending threat messages.

David Roberts, the defense, told the court: “He spent a senior decisive penalty for 63 months, which was imposed in the Bolton Crown Court in 2019, which was fully submitted,” David Roberts told the court.

“He was released from this in August last year, and it is very important that since he was in freedom, he did not exceed or draw the attention of the courts.

“He is a young man who suffers from his mental health and is awaiting the evaluation of ADHD.”

Mr. Roberts told the court that at the time, Cracknell was “effectively in the cell 23 hours a day.”

Judge Timothy Bates told the defendant: “I got Mr. Goldby to come to your cell and began to try to attack him.

“I dumped it on the ground, sealed it and punch it again.

“It was a bad attack, which led to major injuries.

“Looking at your comments directly, it was previously, lengthy and continuous.”
