They will not be entitled to a major supermarket that provides customers who work as firefighters, ambulance drivers, police officers and for the stores in stores. Asda confirmed that the company will cut ties with Blue Light Card, as the service approaches May 27. Online information was published by the supermarket.
“The Asda partnership with Blue Light Card will end on May 27, 2025. From May 13, 2025 11:00, the blue light card members will not be able to like the blue light cards membership in the Asda Rewards account.”
He added: “Any accounts related before this date will continue to receive the display of the exclusive member as detailed in the terms and conditions until May 27, 2025 23:59, and at this point the offer will be removed.”
The customers shared their response to the moves, as many criticized the end of the partnership. One of them said: “ASDA is really no longer selling herself with her RTDS chart.”
Another said: “In other words, thanks for everything you do, but we no longer give it anymore, it is happening a lot recently.”
Others even said that shopping in the supermarket is not worth it and that “their rewards went down the hill.” He threatened to change supermarkets, one of whom wrote: “It might be the right time to change supermarkets! The rewards have decreased significantly over the past two years.”
Blue Light Card also informs customers to the news via an email. I read: “Asda makes wide changes to its strategy and general approach to value and pricing its customers, and because of this change in the strategy, ASDA’s discount for the owners of blue light cards ends two weeks from now on Tuesday, May 27.
“This change is one of the many adjustments by ASDA through its business because it carries out the new daily pricing approach. You can continue to use the current offer for the next two weeks, until Tuesday, May 27.”
“We have launched our partnership with Blue Light Card during the epidemic to provide additional support for emergency workers and we would like to thank them for the opportunity to work with them during the past five years,” said ASDA spokesman.
“Our focus is now on providing all our customers with the distinguished value every time they visit stores or shop with us online.”
The supermarket has already reduced their discounts on blue light cards. Last April, ASDA said it would reduce the amount of card holders in ASDA Rewards Cashpots.
They emphasized that the shoppers of blue light cards will not get only 5 % of fresh foods, including meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, fresh fruit juice, dairy juices and bakery, instead of 10 %.
