Police said that a woman in Massachusetts died and a man in New Hampshire was seriously injured in a 91st highway crash in Vermont on Saturday.
There were also two children in the car, but unlike adults, they were wearing seat belts and were not transferred to the hospital only as a preventive measure, according to Vermont State Police.
Police said the driver, Joseph Hamilton, 40, from Playsto, New Hampshire, was martyred for the serious negligence that led to death. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer he could talk to the charge.

Police said that Alyssa Titerott, 27, from Pepleril, Massachusetts, announced her death at the scene, while Hamilton was transferred to the Dartman Hitchcock Medical Center with major suspected injuries.
