The first will be held at the Sussex Film Festival in a cinema warehouse in Louis from April 25 to April 27, 2025.
The festival aims to highlight the creativity of film makers working in Sussex, and to inspire them.
It will include a variety of films, from “Urgent Documentary Films” to “Poetic Drama” and promised to show “richness” to tell local stories.
The festival’s opening films collection includes six titles: “Almost last to get there”, “The Forest in” Me “,” Splinter “,” Do not leave Brighton “,” The Captain “and” Fright “.
The short films program includes the “dog in long grass”, “first vision” and “Just Plain Ben”, along with others.
This event will be crowned by granting the best award director, which comes this year with a grant of 10,000 pounds to finance the film of the winner of Sussex.
This award is sponsored by Clear Futures, committed to supporting new sounds in local cinema.

Film makers will get Apple MacBook Pro to help their next project.
These prizes have become possible by supporting festivals partners, including community energy paths, who contribute to a laptop in the documentary features category.
