A man told Garde that he put today in his partner’s sandwich because she was tense and I think he was “doing the right thing” a suspended punishment was delivered.
Judge Eugene Oakili, the 30 -year -old Mark O’Neill partner, Helen Nolan, discovered Valle’s tablets today in the sandwich of last August after taking one bite. She said she tasted “metal” and immediately went to sleep.
Mark O’Neil (62 years old), from Cois Na Coille, Pollerton, Carlo, was in court because of the ruling after he acknowledged that he was guilty of a crime under Article 12 of non -fatal crimes against a person’s law, which is defined as “intentionally or reckless”.
Judge Okelli heard in a previous sitting from the Carlo District Court from Defense Lawyer, Ross Pratoin, that the accused was before he was a terrible thing. Fully cooperated with Garda’s investigation and acknowledged that he was guilty of the first opportunity.
The investigation of Garda told the court O’Seel suffered the disease in 2009 when he was cancer, and despite his well -being, he rarely left the house and did not drive his car, work or social media.
When the case returned to the court today, Friday, to issue the verdict, Judge Okelli said that the partner of the accused man was not aware of the material in the sandwiches. The accused said that he had to use it as his partner was going through a difficult time. The judge said he was a shocking thing.
Judge Okelli said: “It was a horrific incident, especially with the person who knew that he was suffering from horrific medical problems that required many medications, so he knew very well what he was doing to his partner.”
The judge said that O’Neil has no previous condemnation and that he was at a low risk of re -introducing it.
Judge Okelli imposed a one -year prison sentence, which was completely suspended.
“I can assure you that you used every opportunity from this court,” said Judge Okelli, who was talking directly to the accused.
The court heard that the relationship of the couple has deteriorated over the years to the extent that they could go for days or weeks without speaking to each other.
Mr. Patrat O’Brien told the court that there was no violence or aggression in the relationship.
On the day of the crime, the court heard, Mrs. Nolan was in her bedroom on the phone when she asked O’Neil to make her sandwich.
O’Neil returned with tomato sandwich and mayonnaise and left the bedroom. The court listened to the fact that Mrs. Nolan took a bite and tastes her metal, so she put it and no longer had more.
I have grown, I woke up the next morning, still feeling “tired of an overwhelming majority” throughout the day. She returned home during the day to return to bed.
Judge Okelli was told that she saw the sandwich still on her bed cabinet and noticed that the bread had turned blue in places. Upon investigation, she saw mixed blue tablets. She went to her doctor, who said she was okay, but she advised her to go to Garde on this.
In a statement by Gardaí, Mrs. Nolan said that she had been subjected to seven car accidents in recent months, but she could not make sure that she had any relationship with treatment. She also told Gardaí that she only took a single bite of the sandwich and “God knows what would have happened” if she ate everything.
One of the investigations in Garda told the court O’Neil who accepts, saying that he had placed “mayonnaise, tomatoes, and today’s blue devices” in the sandwich.
He told Gardaí that he wanted Mrs. Nolan to be able to relax because she was recently tense and took it upon her to do so, believing that he “does the right thing.”
O’Neill Garde told that they were his tablets and could “hit the horse for hours” were very strong.
Judge Okelli was told that O’Neill denied that he would do so before and said he had no intention to harm her because she meant a lot to him after she took care of him when he was sick with cancer.
