A six -year -old child died in Galway after a truck was shocked while riding a bicycle on Saturday afternoon.
Garde said that the girl’s bike collided with a car of heavy goods at the intersection of Hudford and Sandyvale Lawn, at approximately 12.05 pm.
The girl was killed in the accident. Garde said that her body was removed from the scene to the Galwai University Hospital and will take place after death in a timely manner.
The truck driver, a man in his thirties, was not infected.
The road was closed and a technical examination of the scene was conducted by Garda collision investigators. The road is now reopened.
Gardaí calls on any witnesses to collision for progress.
Gardaí also appeals that any road users may have shots from the camera (including Dashcam) who were traveling in the Headford Road (N84) between the intersection of Coolough/Headford Road and the entry of Tirellan Heights/Headford Road in Galway between 11.45 in the morning and 12.15 pm, provide this vaccine to investigate Gardaí.
