The United States and Iran held “constructive” talks on the nuclear program of Bran on Saturday and agreed to the meeting again, as President Donald Trump threatens military action if they fail to reach an agreement.
Iran said that the foreign minister in Amman was a mediator in high risk talks in Muscat. The Americans have called for the meetings face to face.
However, negotiators also spoke directly about “a few minutes”, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said. She said that the talks were held “in a constructive and building atmosphere.”
The dispute over coordination referred to the scale of the task facing the long -term opponents, who are looking for a new nuclear deal after Trump withdrew from a previous agreement during his first term in 2018.
Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusidi said that the talks took place in “Joe Woody”, adding: “We will continue to work together.”
Foreign Minister Abbas Arashi, the experienced diplomat and the main architect of the 2015 agreement, led the Iranian delegation, while Trump’s special envoy Steve Whitkov, a real estate pole, headed the American team.
