Federal immigration agents arrested 37 workers on Wednesday during a raid at the Raugger Company in northern Washington. Officers from the United States of Migration and Customs arrived (ICE), internal security investigations, customs protection and borders Baker mountain roofingA warehouse in Beiltham, near the Canadian border, at about 7:30 am.
Witnesses described a dramatic scene while armed officers stormed the workplace. “They arrived while they were practicing their weapons as if they were going to shoot us, as we were criminals,” said Thomas Forte, speaking to Cascadi Daily News.
“We refined to a room at the back of the building. They had a list and pictures for everyone who was not documented and took them away.”
Forty, who worked on Baker Mountain, said for 12 years, he had not seen anything before. He claimed that the detained workers were transferred in two buses.
