Trump was angry with Putin amid Ukraine peace talks

Donald Trump said he was “angry” with Vladimir Putin as his attempts to mediate the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

The US President said he was “very angry” from his Russian counterpart for his suggestion that Volodymyr Zelenskyy is replaced as a Ukraine leader.

He also said that he would be a tariff on Russian imports if a ceasefire was not agreed within a month.

Zelenskyy agreed to an unconditional truce for 30 days in the war, but Putin has so far refused to follow his example.

Instead, the Russian president presented a series of demands in exchange for a partial ceasefire.

In an interview with NBC News, Trump said: “If we and Russia cannot conclude a deal about stopping bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think this was Russia’s mistake – it may not be … I will put a secondary tariff … on all the oil that comes out of Russia.”

In Putin’s call to replace Zelenskyy, the president said: “You can say that I was very angry, angry, when … Putin began to reach Zelensky’s credibility, because this is not going in the right location.

“The new driving means that you will not reach a deal for a long time.”

However, Trump insisted that he still had a “very good relationship” with Putin and plans to talk to him later this week.

The American President’s comments are the most explicit criticism of the Russian president since his return to the White House in January.

So far, he kept most of his condemnation of Zelinski, who described him as a “dictator”, while he repeated many Putin’s attacks on Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Kiir Starmer modernized Trump last week in Paris from the “coalition from the wishing” – about 30 countries ready to protect Ukraine in the event of a ceasefire.

The Prime Minister spoke to the president in a phone call on Sunday evening.

A spokesman for No. 10 said: “The leaders agreed to the need to keep pace with the mass pressure on Putin. They agreed to stay in contact in the coming days. “
