Adele Koi Songpio, 45 -year -old from Ivory Coast, out of 28 women who recently underwent a restoration surgery to repair the effects of female genital mutilation (FGM). This procedure, which was implemented in a general hospital in Abidjan, is part of a leading initiative aimed at providing free surgeries for female victims of female genital mutilation, to help heal physical and psychological scars.
