Andrew Kilbourne was elected in the Benfieldimal Pavilion, where the reform swept the victory in the local elections in Durham Province, which won 65 seats and gained comprehensive control of the council.
His resignation will not affect the majority of the party.
“We understand that Mr. Kilburn has not announced his work for the returning officer as expected, and he is now asking to resign from his seat,” ITV News spokesman told ITV News.
“We look forward to competing for the upcoming sub -elections to give the people of Benfieldside a strong voice in the Durham County Council.”

This claims this week that the future of “many” reform members “was suspicious of their current work in the council. Employees are excluded from standing as consultants at the same time under national legislation.
It is understood that sub -elections are now being held to find a new advisor.
Mr. Kilburn was elected with 1007 votes alongside his co -Islah Sandra Grendel, where the party gained two seats in the Benfieldside – one of the Labor Party and one of an independent.
The party has identified Durham County as the battlefield to help develop its popularity and political position in the northeast, with the visit of the party leader Nigel Faraj several times on the day of polling.
“The chaos in reform and mismanagement in Durham shows that it is simply not a serious party,” said Sada Labor spokesman.

“After their promise to reduce waste, taxpayers in Durham are now forced to pay the bull because of the completely absolute elections.”
It is understood that the candidates do not have to announce their workplace in the electoral nomination papers. Durham County Council said last week that one of the employees could take his role as a consultant after his election, but he will have to resign from his work.
The sub -elections were held elsewhere in England after members of the Reform Council resigned their roles a few days after their election.
