New sanctions targeting Iranian ballistic missiles program
The United States is punishing six entities and six members of their headquarters in Iran and China for their role in a network that buys ballistic missile components on behalf of the Iranian Islamic Islamic Guard Corps (IRGC).
Today’s procedure, which targets this network, which facilitated the purchase of sodium and diocese Perkras from China to Iran, is supported to support the maximum pressure campaign in the United States to reduce the ballistic missile program in Iran, and to disrupt IRGC activities, as specified in the National Presidency of the President on February 4, 2025.
The United States will continue to be responsible for those who seek to strengthen the Iranian ballistic missile program, to include the purchase of payment components used in ballistic missiles.
The Treasury was taken under Executive Order (EO) 13382, which targets a disputed weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and their supporters. For more information, please refer to the press statement of the Ministry of Treasury.
