Harris Province, Texas (KTRK) – Six of Heim Cohen’s sons presented the victim’s impact on Monday morning before sending him to 40 years in prison.
In 2023, Cohen was detained after one of his sons adopted frankly about the sexual assault on podcast. At that time, the boy was 17 years old. Children were removed from the house at the time.
The teenager said that he and his brothers were subjected to sexual abuse by their father, adopting and used the term “rape”. He said that the child protection services (CPS) conducted eight investigations in the family, but nothing came ever.
Last week, Cohen admitted that he was guilty of four charges related to the constant sexual assault of a child and was granted 40 years in prison for each charge. He also admitted that he was guilty of his absence with a child and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. The rulings will be operated simultaneously, so 40 years will spend the prison without the possibility of conditional release. The charges were seven victims: six of his nine children who were adopted and a foreign exchange student who lived in Cohen’s house for a period of time and said that he was subjected to sexual abuse.

On Monday morning, the six of the children of Cohen, whose ages ranged between the elementary school to the youth, participated in their final message after years of ill -treatment.
Each of them addressed him in the name of his birth, “Jeffrey”, instead of the name he was taken when he adopted Judaism.
His son took the adoption that made the initial blow, which was not identified due to the nature of the crime, the situation first.
He first said: “Good morning to everyone except you, Jeffrey.”
He spoke directly to Cohen of pregnant women and described in detail sexual assault. Cohen was seen skillfully shaking his head.
“You are a sick and ancient individual with a healing disease,” said about the almost 20 years of age. “You are preying on the innocent, innocent children who have nothing.”
The young man, who made strikes, said that Cohen made him believe that he would get his own family and said he was excited.
“Although you did it, I still love you,” he said. “I was young, innocent, and a normal life.”
He said that they were closed in a room because Cohen “could not face what he (he) had done.”
“I lost (my childhood) to you,” clearer. “There is no restoration. I will not be able to tell my children about my high school experience, and my best friends in my childhood, but I gained something of it. I gained courage and respect. I gained Iman. I gained friends, and I gained justice today.”

Children detailed a house for horrors where they were deprived of food, were treated, and they were banned from going to school, looking at the medications they did not need, and cut a knife and verbal abuse.
One of the boys, who said he was now in the fourth grade, said he was abused with a belt and a lie to his biological family. He said he was forced to do things he did not like.
The boy said: “You cannot harm me anymore.”
He detailed his success in the school and the new skills that he acquired with his new family, such as playing trombone and a ski board.
The young boy said: “I hope you feel fear in prison, as we were living with you.” “Everyone will treat you like garbage as you did. I hope you suffer as I did. I will sleep well tonight, knowing that you will never leave the prison. I hate you.
A third boy took the situation and immediately indicated the differences in his appearance.
“Hey, Jeffrey,” started. “I know that I am not known, but let me remind you, I am one of these children who were imprisoned in a room and stole my childhood.”
He said he remembered when Cohen told him that he would be arrested and said he was “one of the most happy children in the world” when hearing the news.
He said he does not hate Cohen, but he hates him for what he did. He said he is thinking about Cohen every day.
“Not positive,” he said. “Not negative. I hope you have done better as a father.”
A fourth boy took the situation and said that he tried to commit suicide 19 times since he left Cohen’s house “from the memories and things that you used to do.”
The boy said: “I walked me up in ways I was too small to understand.”
Two of the children had another person reading their statements on their behalf.
Both the six boys indicated that Cohen will die in prison.
Many boys said they were adopted due to bad situations, but Cohen’s house was worse. One describes it as “hell.”
Children told Cohen how better their lives were since he left his home and discussed the teacher in their lives that made them miss.
Hayim acknowledged that he was guilty less than a month before he was appointed to trial in the case.
“We have taken a look at the evidence and frankly, it was overwhelming,” said defense lawyer Charles Johnson. “Five lifetime was seen in a row, as well as additional fees in this case. We believe that the deal that was reached is actually something better for him.”
Cohen was silent in court on Monday and did not show any feelings. ABC13 Johnson asked if his client had passed by any message he could share. He said he did not. Johnson did not reveal whether his client bears any responsibility for his actions.
Johnson explained that his client did not say anything: “This is an approximate position and the thing is that these are not just numbers.” “These are actual years. It is a lot of dealing with it, so he had no message, but I think he was before it and resigned from the truth of what was going on.”
The eldest son of Cohen, Avshalom Cohen, is still behind the bars because of his sexual abuse of his brothers. His case is still active.
