1 Killed, 2 was evacuated in the Brighton House fire

Fire officials said one person died and two others were evacuated from the Brighton House fire on Sunday afternoon.

Fire Brighton’s rescue sets responded to a residential fire in the 12000 East Street, at around 12:30 pm on Sunday, according to A press release from the agency.

When they arrived, the crew found two people who were evacuated from the house, which was already filled with severe smoke, firefighters said in the statement. It was a third missing operator.

The agency officials said the firefighters searched the house, pulled a woman abroad and started CPR outside the house. She later died of her injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
